Erol Alkan at Drumsheds: October 10 and Trash book guide
Alkan explains his approach to Bugged Out’s October 10 party. Check Drumsheds’ entry and access rules, plus Faber’s January 2027 Trash book and preorder caveat.

Erol Alkan is approaching Bugged Out’s 2001&On… party as more than a replay of old records. In NME’s original interview published on October 5, 2026, he says the occasion will draw on that era while leaving room for newer music with a similar energy. For listeners curious about the connections between guitar music and club records, the interview offers a way into his thinking before the Drumsheds event. His forthcoming Trash book is a separate route into the history, not a release timed to this weekend’s show.
Drumsheds’ main listing gives Saturday, October 10, with event hours of 13:00–22:30 and an age limit of 18+. Room X lists a 2manydjs back-to-back DJ set with Alkan, plus Friendly Fires and New Young Pony Club live; the programme spans rooms X, Y and Z. Those event hours are not Alkan’s individual set time. The venue FAQ says set times appear on its social media on show day and may change. A separate enquiry-form date on the event page reads 09.10.2026, conflicting with the main October 10 listing and NME’s October 10 confirmation; check your ticket before making travel plans. The official event page links to ticket booking, but this guide has not verified prices, entry tiers, inventory or checkout.
Plan entry around your ticket’s conditions. Drumsheds requires valid photographic ID and says that if a name appears on the ticket, the ID must match it. Bags larger than A4 are not permitted, and there is no re-entry after leaving. Its FAQ describes 5pm as a typical Saturday last-entry time, not a confirmed deadline for this event: it explicitly tells visitors to check the event listing or ticket. Do not assume you can arrive at any point before the advertised 22:30 finish.
For access arrangements, the venue describes a free Drumsheds Digital Access Pass through Nimbus, or use of an existing Nimbus Access Card. Its instructions say the access customer should buy one general-admission ticket and then complete the access request with booking and card details; complimentary Personal Assistant tickets are advertised through this process. Read the current access page and contact access@drumshedslondon.com about your requirements before relying on an arrangement. The venue says Meridian Water station has step-free access via a lift. Limited accessible parking must be booked in advance and requires a Blue Badge. This guide has not submitted an access request or confirmed an individual provision.
Faber lists Trash: A Club, A Sound, A Home by Alkan as a hardback preorder, ISBN 9780571396405, with publication on January 14, 2027. The publisher describes his recollections alongside interviews with artists including Peaches, Justice and 2manydjs, covering the Monday-night London club that ran from 1997 to 2007. There is a practical ordering catch: Faber says already-published books bought in the same order as this preorder will not ship until the preorder’s publication date. Its promise to ship this title from the warehouse in time for publication is not a guaranteed arrival date. Keep that future book purchase separate from the October event ticket. The photograph shows Alkan at The Social on December 31, 2025, not Drumsheds or a book-launch appearance.
