Record Store Day Black Friday 2026: UK and Ireland editions guide
The November 27 list includes alternate Florence + The Machine recordings and first vinyl editions. Compare the releases, then check your local shop’s plans.
Record Store Day UK has announced its Black Friday releases for Friday, November 27, 2026, covering independent record shops across the UK and Ireland. Its October 6 announcement advertises sales through participating shops from 8am on November 27. Treat that as the organiser’s advertised sale time, and confirm your chosen shop’s opening arrangements before travelling.
Choose by the recordings, not just the artist name. The organiser says Florence + The Machine’s release contains alternate chamber versions of four tracks from Everybody Scream. It describes Sombr’s In Another Life EP as a first vinyl release, on silver vinyl, and Shawn Mendes’ MTV Unplugged as a first retail release. Those are different reasons to seek an edition: alternate versions, a new physical format, or a retail issue of a live recording. They do not mean every title is a newly recorded album.
Benson Boone’s Walk Me Home EP offers another concrete format comparison. Its official Black Friday entry lists a November 27 release on Warner Records as a 12-inch record on black and white galaxy vinyl. The description says the EP had previously been available on CD and digital services, and names ‘In The Stars’ and ‘Ghost Town’. Check the exact edition rather than assuming an earlier CD or digital listing describes the vinyl being offered for this event.
Use the official UK and Ireland Black Friday list to make a shortlist, then the linked shop locator to find a store to ask about that edition. A catalogue entry and a directory listing do not confirm that a particular shop has ordered a title or has stock for you. We have not verified prices, purchase limits, reservations or an online-sale schedule for this Black Friday event, and have not tested checkout. Confirm those details directly with the shop; this guide does not apply the separate April Record Store Day rules or assume that another country’s list is identical.
