Robbie Williams’ National Album Day vinyl: what to check
Robbie Williams is National Album Day’s Album Icon. Check the announced red/blue 45 RPM vinyl, preorder caveats and full-album listening ideas for October 17.

Robbie Williams has been named Album Icon for National Album Day 2026, the organiser announced on October 6. The annual album-listening campaign takes place on Saturday, October 17, with the theme ‘Icons’. Alongside that announcement, Universal Music Recordings and Island Records are reissuing Sing When You’re Winning as a limited-edition red/blue two-LP set. This guide separates the campaign date, the advertised preorder opening and the details listeners should check before ordering.
The organiser says the two records will play at 45 RPM, as the original edition did. If you choose this set, check that speed when playing it. The announcement highlights ‘Rock DJ’, ‘Supreme’ and ‘Kids’ with Kylie Minogue as songs on the album. Those singles offer familiar starting points, but the campaign’s stated aim is to encourage full-record listening. Try the complete album rather than treating its best-known songs as the whole programme; that is a listening suggestion, not a review of the new pressing.
Preorders are advertised from participating retailers from October 6, 2026. That announcement does not by itself confirm a particular shop’s current stock, price, checkout or shipping terms. The Townsend listing was not readable during verification, and this guide has not established the edition’s exact release or dispatch date. October 17 is the campaign date, not a verified promise that this vinyl will be released or arrive that day. Confirm the exact edition, release date, delivery estimate and total cost with your chosen retailer before paying.
For another album to explore, the organiser’s Q–Z release index lists Sade’s Lovers Rock, Suede’s Coming Up and Tears For Fears’ Seeds of Love alongside the Williams reissue. Use it as a discovery list, not proof that any retailer has those editions in stock. National Album Day is a joint BPI and ERA project; its About page describes retailer listening events, signings and Q&As, but this guide has not verified a specific local booking or BBC broadcast schedule. Check an individual organiser’s current listing before making plans. The photograph is an archival portrait of Williams at Toronto’s film festival in September 2024, not this year’s album campaign.
