Star Moles shares Born Again ahead of Highway to Hell’s first vinyl issue
Emily Moales joins Dead Oceans with a new song and South Philly-shot video. The December 4 vinyl issue follows Highway to Hell’s February digital release.

Star Moles, the Philadelphia-based project of Emily Moales, announced a signing to Dead Oceans and the new song ‘Born Again’ on October 7, 2026. The label plans to release Highway to Hell on vinyl for the first time on December 4. That is a new physical edition, not the album’s first appearance: Moales’ Bandcamp catalogue dates Highway to Hell to February 26, 2026.
Moales describes ‘Born Again’ in the label announcement as an expression of frustration, using an exaggerated voice and mythic language rather than a literal account of events. Dead Oceans credits Kevin Basko with recording and mixing the song at Historic New Jersey, and Lucky Marvel with directing its video, shot entirely in South Philly. The label-linked YouTube listing identifies ‘Star Moles - Born Again (Official Video)’ on StarMolesVEVO, published October 7. Start with that video or the song’s separate Bandcamp page; these are checked public listings, not a test of playback in every country.
Check the programme before choosing a format. The Bandcamp album page currently lists eleven tracks, with ‘Born Again’ after ‘Halo’. Dead Oceans’ December vinyl listing prints ten tracks across sides A and B, ending with ‘Halo’; it does not list ‘Born Again’. The current digital listing and advertised vinyl programme therefore differ. Do not assume the new song is included on the record just because its Bandcamp page associates it with Highway to Hell.
For the album’s recording context, the Bandcamp credits name Basko as producer and credit Moales with acoustic guitar, drums, bass, piano, vocals and percussion. They also identify Sam Sullivan’s electric guitar on tracks 1, 4, 5 and 10, and Jem Seidel’s percussion on track 9. The label-linked album hub offers listening destinations and vinyl-preorder routes, so listeners can explore the existing album before deciding on the physical edition. We have not checked retailer stock, price or delivery terms, or tested checkout; December 4 is the label’s planned release date, not a promised arrival date.
