Taylor Swift leads both main UK music charts for the week of October 2–8, 2026. “Patient Zero” debuts at No. 1 on the Official Singles Chart, while The Life of a Showgirl returns to No. 1 on the Official Albums Chart for its fifth nonconsecutive week at the summit. The two rankings measure different releases and should not be read as a single streaming chart.

Two more songs from the expanded The Encore edition also enter the singles top five: “Cleveland” at No. 3 and “Babylon” at No. 4. Official Charts lists “Patient Zero” as Swift’s eighth UK No. 1 single and her third in 2026. This is her fifth distinct album-and-single chart double, with one in each calendar year since 2022.

The album first arrived on October 3, 2025. Universal Music announced the digital Encore edition for September 25, 2026, with four added tracks: “Patient Zero,” “Cleveland!,” “Pink Clouding” and “Babylon.” The chart lists the second song as “Cleveland,” while the label announcement includes an exclamation mark in its title.

The return illustrates how new tracks can bring attention back to an existing album. The timing links the Encore release and the chart climb, but the published chart result alone cannot show how much of the album’s weekly total came from each format or track. Official Charts did not give a weekly unit breakdown for this return in its announcement.

These are UK Official Charts positions for this chart week, not positions on VibeHype’s charts or a worldwide ranking. Fans following the new songs can compare them with current VibeHype chart movements separately as the next updates arrive.
